The mission of Laughlin Children’s Center is to empower children, teens, and their families through client-centered and personalized clinical and academic support, as well as early childhood education, in a safe and nurturing environment. By discerning the unique needs of each individual, we foster confidence, resilience, and growth, ensuring that every child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our clinicians, most of whom hold master’s or doctoral degrees, provide expert academic, therapeutic, and psychological care. Academic Services follow the guidelines of the International Dyslexia Association (Pittsburgh branch) and are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. We offer specialized preschool and tutoring. Occupational and Speech Services align with national and state associations. Psychology Services utilize evidence-based models supported by PCIT International, APA, NBCC, and PPA. Every child and family receives informed, compassionate support.
