The Mission of the Carlynton School District is to provide a challenging educational program for all students within a safe, nurturing environment which will enable them to function as productive, ethical and responsible global citizens. The vision of the Carlynton School District is to inspire a passion for learning, a commitment to excellence, and a respect for the diversity of individuals as we prepare our students for the demands of a changing global society.
Students are expected to be engaged, respectful participants in their education. This includes valuing learning, caring for school property, maintaining healthy lifestyles, showing respect for others, and helping ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all.
Staff members must deliver instruction that is engaging, relevant, and grounded in best practices. They are responsible for using assessment data to guide teaching, fostering academic and emotional growth, and creating safe, encouraging spaces where students can take intellectual risks.
Administrators are tasked with aligning decisions to the District’s mission, vision, and goals while maintaining financial responsibility. They must ensure safe learning and working environments, communicate clearly, support curriculum relevance, and uphold high expectations for student achievement.
Parents play a critical role in supporting students’ success across academics, arts, athletics, and activities. They are encouraged to provide constructive feedback, communicate openly with school personnel, and participate in community engagement efforts that promote institutional growth.
Community members are essential partners in helping the district achieve its mission. They should be welcomed into collaboration efforts, support student well-being across all areas, and contribute feedback and ideas that foster positive change and shared success.
